Halliburton Company Business Unit Selects PlantWise™ Software For Conceptual Design

Design Power Contract Award: Kellogg Brown & Root

October 2001 - Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR), a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL), has selected the PlantWise™ software suite as a principal tool for conceptual design of complex chemical process plants. The company is using PlantWise to generate computer models of new plant designs and to produce accurate cost estimates for proposed capital projects.

KBR has deployed the new software at the company's Houston headquarters. The software, recognized worldwide as a powerful tool for rapid conceptual plant modeling and automatic pipe routing, will be used in front-end plant design and engineering projects, where it enables users to quickly optimize plant layouts and visualize 3D models on the fly.
